Resources to Help Survivors

The Innocence Project

The Innocence Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit legal organization committed to exonerating individuals who have been wrongly convicted, through the use of DNA testing, and working to reform the criminal justice system to prevent future injustices.

Most homicide survivors find it nearly impossible to “save room for the possibility of innocence” as they begin the legal process, particularly if the defendant has confessed to the homicide. (They can’t imagine an innocent person confessing.)

I promote the efforts of the Innocence Project as a support person to new exonerees at the annual Innocent Project Networking conference, and through my writing,  podcast, and public speaking engagements.
